CVT Celebrates its 25th Anniversary
As we embark on 2009, there is a cause for celebration. This year marks another exciting milestone for the Trust - its 25th anniversary. Since 1984 CVT has been serving the education community by not only providing quality healthcare benefits, but doing so with responsive personal service and in the best interests of the Trust and its members. This always evolving and innovative Trust commenced its journey in 1984 and has continued to touch the many lives of professional educators and employees in the most positive ways imaginable.
From providing medical plan options to health and wellness education to connecting with the communities we serve throughout the state, CVT prides itself on servicing only education. The past twenty-five years has been a testament to the passion and resolve of CVT's Board of Directors, administration, organizations, districts and members to mold CVT as the right choice for all public school districts.
Over the years CVT has seen tremendous growth from 30 districts in 1984 to 201 districts in 2009. Originally launched as Central Valley Trust, the Trust is now servicing districts throughout the state. We are humbled by the countless lives we have touched throughout the years by providing medical, dental, vision care and other health related benefits to all our participants - whether they are teachers, school staff or administrators or other employees serving the education community. We are grateful that we have been of service to such a wide range of people in our communities.
We at CVT want to thank everyone within the Trust for the commitment, passion and support we have experienced over the past 25 years. It s our members and our districts that have made this Trust what it is today.
