  Other Programs  
OUT-PATIENT SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROGRAM
This program provides for specialized treatment of substance abuse problems through Occupation Health Services and Blue Cross. Treatment can by strictly out-patient or residential, depending on the assessment of needs. 

The participating benefit is a copay of 20% (the plan pays 80%), up to a maximum of $300. Then the plan pays 100%. There is a 60 day course of treatment limit with a twice in a lifetime maximum. 
 
GROUP TERM LIFE INSURANCE
Group Term Life Insurance for active employees includes Waiver of Premium and Accidental Death and Dismemberment provisions. There are also additional payout options available for the beneficiary. 

This is a District Paid benefit for active employees only.
 
RETIREE BENEFITS
CVT has Retiree Specialists that handle all Retiree issues. Self Paid Retirees are allowed to annually select coverage that best suits their needs. District Paid Retirees have the same coverage options as the active unit from which they retired. Rate options are available for both District and Self Paid Retirees. 

Out of state payment schedules are in place for retirees living outside of California. Also, CVT offers "Claim Free" for Blue Cross members. This is a claims reimbursement system for retired members living in California.
