Employee Assistance Program
Program Overview
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available from CVT and is administered by ValueOptions.
An EAP is designed to help participants manage life's challenges and offers many services and information on various topics. An EAP is not just for people in crisis, but also to help employees and their family members with the everyday problems that we all face in life. EAP Professionals are available to help address concerns such as:
- Marital and family concerns
- Legal and financial issues
- Stress, anxiety and other emotional health topics
- Child and elder care issues
- Workplace concerns
- Substance abuse and dependency
- Confidential counseling sessions
Members can access the EAP at any time - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with a ValueOptions toll-free number. Also available is the award-winning Web site, Achieve Solutions, for up-to-date information and interactive tools on 200 topics including depression, stress and alcohol.
ValueOptions provides EAP services for over 22 million members, including participants in the California's Valued Trust. ValueOptions was selected as the network for EAP because it has one of the largest number of providers statewide and nationwide and has exceptional service.
