Mental Health Awareness Month

May 4, 2023

May is recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month, an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and to break the stigma surrounding mental illness. This month provides a platform to educate the public about the prevalence of mental health conditions, the impact they can have on individuals and their loved ones, and the resources available for those who may be struggling. Mental Health Awareness Month also serves as a reminder to prioritize our own mental health and well-being, as well as support those around us who may be struggling. It is a time to come together to advocate for better mental health care, support systems, and resources for all.

You can find mental health support through your workplace program, doctor, or qualified therapist.

Parents should nurture their child's confidence and self-esteem, make time for play, make school fun, and provide appropriate guidance.
