This has always been one of my favorite times of the year—when we are well into our new plan year, and I can see first-hand how our various value-added benefits are being received by our members. Three of our newest value-added benefits include our new surgery benefit, through Carrum Health, EngagementPoint, which is an online health hub and app through Blue Shield of California, and the MinuteClinics brought to you by CVS. Carrum Health selects the best surgeons in our networks, so you get world-class care, and when you use your Carrum Health benefit, most, if not all, of your surgery costs are often covered. Carrum Health is available for CVT members with Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield of California and Aetna PPO plans.

If you are a CVT member with a Blue Shield of California PPO plan, download the EngagementPoint app and be able to access all of your health plan information, while also participating in wellness plan activities that can earn you up to $400 in cash card rewards each year. MinuteClinic locations can be found in specific CVS Pharmacies near you. Each is a convenient alternative to an urgent care visit, and you can even schedule appointments for virtual visits with licensed providers. While you can find more detail about each of these value-added benefits in this newsletter, just know that each of these is being made available to our members, because of their cost-effectiveness, convenience and quality—three attributes that we know are important to our members.
