  • Skip caffeine and nicotine. Caffeine can take up to eight hours to wear off. Nicotine stimulates the body as well.
  • Complete exercise at least two to three hours before bedtime. Your body needs to relax before going to sleep.
  • If you can’t fall asleep after 20 minutes, get up and do something like reading or listening to relaxing music or a podcast until you feel tired again.
